Hurricane Roof Preparation Checklist

• Have the roof inspected before peak hurricane season
• Repair missing, lifted, brittle, or damaged shingles
• Check roof vents, lead boots, pipe boots, skylights, chimneys, and flashing
• Clear organic debris from valleys, slope changes, gutters, and roof edges
• Inspect soffit and fascia for rot, storm wear, or water entry points
• Review flat roof drainage, seams, coatings, and ponding-water areas
• Consider replacement if the roof is old, worn, or repeatedly leaking
